there is definitely nothing shy of 60 lb that you're going to pull out of the water that is going to pull this out of the ground. very sturdy and firm and holds my pole nicely. the only thing I may have liked a little bit better would have been a heavier rubber lip on the top edge so it does not cause any damage to the pool or reel. other than that I will order again.
