A customer who purchased a Dock-It Fisher fishing rod holder for docks and piers asked if I could come up with a similar cleat mounted umbrella holder. The customer wanted an easy to install umbrella holder that didn't take up much dock space. They specifically wanted to get away from a large sand filled umbrella base. After some noodling, here's what I came up with:
