We recently had a customer order a Dock-It Fisher rod holder and they had some concerns about the installation fitment for their particular fishing setup and needs. The customer was fishing for pike and had concerns about rod security. For their situation, they wanted the rods to be more or less vertical relative to the water. The thought was that if the rods were close to vertical, it would be almost impossible for the pike to pull the rod out of the holder. To help the customer out, we sent some spacers to go onto the u-bolt legs and take up the distance between the rod holder and the backing plate. This made the setup tight and almost vertical. We also turned the customer onto a rod leash that will attach directly to the Dock-It Fisher rod holder. All of this did the trick and made the customer happy; it eliminated all concerns over loosing rods into the water.

Here are the customers comments as left in a review on the Dock-It Fisher product page, "Received my rod holder and had several questions. Bill, who I assume is the owner, addressed all my concerns and promptly offered me additional pieces for adjustment at no additional cost. I will definitely order from this company again and highly recommend their products and service."
We were absolutely glad to help and we hope the customer catches plenty of pike.
